The Gateway is a global interactive card-hunting event as well as a reward and lock-up mechanism for Vidya tokens. The Gateway amasses "spillage" tokens out of every sip from the Cauldron to be held until every single card in the game has been sacrificed at least one time, at which point it will be distributed to players with weight in the system. Sacrificing a card to the Gateway earns Gateway points that grant the user Gateway weight, which determines the amount of Vidya they will earn from the Gateway unlock (if it ever occurs). A user's brew points and mint points are added as a flat bonus to their Gateway weight.
Like with brew points, every card in Agnosia inherently contains Gateway points, which scale up according to card level. When a card has not yet been sacrificed by any player globally, the image of the card will not be revealed, and will instead be covered by a small golden lock. When one of these cards is sacrificed for the first time, it provides a 50x bonus to the amount of Gateway points a user would ordinarily earn for sacrificing it.
Once The Gateway has been unlocked, users will be able to claim all the Vidya contained in the Gateway, each according to their weight. All card slots will revert back to their locked state, Gateway points will reset, and the cycle will continue indefinitely.
The leaderboard shows which users have accrued the highest global Gateway weight in descending order. Their position on the leaderboard can be clicked to open their player profile for a more detailed breakdown of their activity.
Gateway points, brew points, mint points, referrals and ascensions all grant Conjure weight for the upcoming airdrop of Agnosia tokens. The airdrop will utilize a time-locked emission schedule for the vesting of airdropped tokens and a weight system to determine a user's claimable tokens when the airdrop phases unlock. Agnosia tokens are intended for the redemption of unique in-game avatars, collectibles, and potential use in future applications.
